Call for Workshop Proposals
Introduction
EAI SecureComm 2026Â is pleased to invite proposals for workshops to be held in conjunction with the conference, which will be held in Lancaster, United Kingdom. The goal of the workshops is to provide additional venues for discussing novel ideas as well as recent results of research in progress.
We encourage you to contact us by email before the deadline with workshop ideas. We actively encourage both researchers and industry practitioners to submit workshop proposals.

Proposal Content
- Workshop title
- A short description of the workshop (less than 200 words)
- Name, affiliation, and e-mail address of each organizer
- Identification of the primary contact person(s)
- Requested duration (half day or full day), with a motivation of the choice of the duration and expected number of participants.
- Workshop format (virtual, in-person, or hybrid). Note that in-person/hybrid workshops will require at least one organizer to attend.
- Topics and scope. These should be within or close to the scope covered by the main conference, as mentioned above.
- Description of workshop activities. Outline how the workshop will be organized and how the time will be spent. Please sketch how you will engage participants to foster more interactions and engagement during the workshop.
- Soliciting Submissions: Indicate how you plan to attract submissions and/or participants. Tactics may include circulating a call to relevant mailing lists (indicate these please as well), publicizing your workshop at other relevant venues, and more.
- Selecting Participants: Indicate how you plan to select participants and contributions to the workshop. Indicate a program committee to help with the organization/review process.
- Organizers: Give short descriptions of each of the organizers’ backgrounds and interests related to the conference scope and topics and the specific workshop topic.
Workshop selection
We aim to select a diverse set of workshops and avoid having multiple workshops on overlapping themes. Organizers of selected workshops will be asked to produce a Call for Workshop Papers to describe the workshop to potential participants and solicit submissions. To promote vivid discussions with more participants in the workshops, EAI will provide Workshop Organisers with a 25% discount code on the registration fee.
The criteria for assessment will include:
- Relevance to conference vision/topics and attendees
- Potential to bring in participants to the conference from different audiences
- Overall quality of contribution
- Provides a hands-on, collaborative, and/or active learning environment for attendees
- A path for attracting submissions, making the workshop productive, and disseminating results
Workshop publication
Accepted and presented papers will be published alongside the main conference proceedings as a sub-section/chapter. Paper formats should, therefore, correspond to the templates of the publisher of the main conference.
Workshop chairs are invited to engage journals and further publication opportunities.
Proposal submission
Workshop proposals should be submitted in a maximum of 4 pages in PDF format, single-spaced.
